Did you know that you can make your own Glow in the Dark Magic Mud from a potato?!
The texture is like pizza dough… unless you let it set, then it quickly melts into a puddle of mud.
How to Glow in the Dark Magic Mud
Scrub potatoes and then chop them into small bits. (if you like making homemade hash browns, this is perfect, use whatever type of potato you like, russets work best, then shred them in a food processor). Here’s a recipe for Homemade hash browns
put them in a bowl and cover with very hot water. stir a few minutes. strain the potatoes from the water into a clean bowl.
let them mixture set until separated.
pour off the potato water. (at this point you can use the potatoes to make hash browns!)
then add some fresh hot water and stir it up, let it set again to separate and get any off-color residue off the magic mud.
pour it off and the impurities are gone. leave the cover off, let the mud dry out for a couple days to turn into a powder.
add tonic water (which contains quinine), this makes magic mud!!
you’ll need a black light to see the magic mud glow.
