mosMake up a Full Irish Breakfast
A very long time ago, when the family would rise at o’dark-thirty to work the land and in some cases after working on the farm some of the family would have jobs with neighbors or in the villages. Breakfast was the meal of the day and had to hold you until dinner time with maybe a snack of Irish soda bread and some cheese. If you were lucky you might find a slice of black pudding (blood sausage — nothing ever went to waste).
The families that were doing well might eat: bacon, black or white pudding, butter and marmalade with Irish soda bread, sausages, eggs, baked beans, bubble and squeak, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and lots of tea.The families that were not as well off might eat: butter and marmalade with Irish soda bread, baked beans, eggs, and lots of tea.

Me? I’d be happy with just bubble and squeak!
