Trying to break a meat and potatoes bunch won’t be easy. Gradually
increasing amounts of salad and veggies and reducing meat portions is
a start. Add some fruit to the meal as a nice change.
We started roasting our veggies and love it. A good combo for us is
zucchini, onions and mushrooms. Cut in bite-sized pieces, spray with
cooking spray, add a little salt and pepper (your own herb/spice too
if you like) toss and spray again. Roast and turn halfway through. Put
that onto some pasta with a little Italian dressing, or atop a pizza
and YUM!
Try your own soup and salad bar. Maybe have grilled cheese sammiches
to go with.
Maybe some incentive…a backwards dinner. Eat dessert first, meat
last. By then their appetites will be somewhat appeased.
