After having my kids home for 2 weeks on spring break, they have headed back to school. It is way to quiet around here. It has only been 2 hours and I am already missing them.

I even went to the gym for an hour this morning that would help.

I am sure this feeling will pass. I just really miss their noise.

Is something wrong with me? LOL!

Sounds normal to me. Maybe you could find a group to join or take up a hobby. Wait until they leave for college!

That is what I just went through and I found a few hobbies. It was really wonderful but sad.

You’re normal. Adopt some neighborhood kids. Hire them to do things around your yard or something and that way you can hear the noise and not be so lonely.

There were some women on my block that did that as I grew up.

I have hobbies, I like to read and cook, and clean. I find it funny that I cant read without the noise. 🙂

that is a good idea about hiring the kids in the area to do work.

Thank you for confirming what everyone in the world already knew. 😀

I guess I shouldn’t ask if I don’t want to know the answer. LOL!

I’m with you. My kids are only 7 & 11 and I am already dreading them getting older and leaving our home…the inevitability of them getting older makes me want to document everything (which I don’t 🙂 and spend as much time with them making good memories as I’m able to… (Which I try to).

My problem I’m dealing with is I’ve been parenting for 11 yrs, and a stay at home mom for half of that time…I’ve let my friendships decline ( so I’m lonely,…best friend lives 3 states away) and no support system other than my husband ( who works all the time)…I’ve made my family my “world” and feel like life is passing me by…
