      Lollipop Plant

This makes a perfect holiday craft and a great keepsake gift. You can
use any kind of lollipops – Blow Pops, Tootsie Pops, Dum Dums or any
      hard center pops.

Small terra cotta flower pots – 2-inch diameters or larger are good
      Assorted acrylic paints
      Water base glaze
      Styrofoam – white or green
      Spanish moss

Decide what you want to paint on your pots. Some examples are:

      Valentine’s Day: hearts
      St. Patrick’s Day: green clovers
      Mothers Day: flowers
      Fathers Day: fish
Halloween: candy corn, pumpkins or ghosts
      Thanksgiving: leaves or acorns
      Christmas: trees, snowflakes or snowmen

Paint the clean, dry pot with acrylic paints. Let dry completely.

After the pot has dried, apply water base glaze, according to the jar
instructions. Let the pot dry completely again.

Place a small piece of Styrofoam in the bottom of the pot. Place the
lollipops into the Styrofoam, and cover the foam generously with the
Spanish moss or you can use paper shred, Easter grass or wadded up
      colored plastic wrap.

For Valentine’s Day, choose red heart shaped lollipops. Tie a small
piece of green curly ribbon around the base of the lollipop and make a
hard knot, then curl the ends—to represent the leaves.
