How about a recipe card and a gift certificate to their favorite grocery store? This is something that I do for any occasion calling for a gift. Sometimes I’ll gift the non-perishable items and the recipe, but if the recipe that I know that they love is all fresh items, I give the recipe card with a gift certificate.
In either circumstance, the gift has been readily appreciated. This recipe is for the potato lover(s) on your gift list… Write up a recipe card and attach a gift certificate…
Loaded Foil-Pack Steak Fries
1 lb.Yukon gold potatoes, each cut into 8 wedges

Heat grill to medium heat.
Place potatoes in microwaveable bowl.
Add water. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 5 min.
Place potatoes on large sheet of heavy-duty foil sprayed with cooking spray. Fold to make packet.
Grill 10 min. Cut slits in foil to release steam.
Carefully open top of packet. Top potatoes with cheese, bacon and onions. Reseal packet.
Let stand 1 to 2 min or until cheese is melted.
