Okay, I wanted to be able to hold myself accountable for skipping workouts, so I’m posting my daily stats here.
Managed to get in 61 minutes in the Wii fit (original) today. I didn’t feel like playing, but figured that since I skipped my 3 mile walk this morning due to inclement weather, I needed to do Something!

good for you. I’ve been playing with mine too!! Funny I seem to do that every January!!
The rythmic kung fu on the wiifit pluss is cool.I also like the bike riding game. The kids just love the segway racing.

I bet dh would love the segway racing. We actually got to try real segways when we were on vacation, (of course it was a 5 minute ride) but boy was it fun, lol.
I managed to get in another 46 minutes today. I’d really like to go riding for a few hours, but this cold snap doesn’t seem to be giving up. :overreaction:
*yawn* I suppose, it’s getting to be past my bedtime… see you gals in the morning.

Hopefully- if the temps rise about 5 more degrees I’ll get in a Horseback ride today. You’d think that’d be a workout for the horse only, but it’s a great Rump/thigh workout for the rider too.

DH picked up the WiiFit Plus game for me yesterday, so I got a chance to play that today.
(60 minutes logged so far)
I like the new exercises and being able to choose “areas to work on”. I got a kick out of the kung foo doo hickey, but I’m lousy at it at the moment.
Things I don’t like… I don’t like that it doesn’t count your calories if you don’t complete a challenge. For example, in the obstacle course, I made it 3 levels and got bumped off or ran out of time, whatever it was. Then in restarted, after 20 minutes of playing it said I burned 9 calories.
Anyway… I think their “calorie burning Calculator” needs a little more programming.
I like that it’s easy to switch between family members, because whenever you get a new game everyone is like, “lemme try, lemme try it, it’s my turn” or “oh, Mom you SUCK, I can beat that. . . “
All in all, I like the new version, it helps break up the first version, which had gotten rather monotonous.

glad you like the wii fit plus. I like being able to make my own workout and have it be the same every day. I banked 20 of free step yesterday while the kids watched a movie

Ok, did my yoga and strength for the day on the wiifit plus, also did some rythmic boxing and the bike riding, I also took the dog for a walk this morning. Hopefully I’ll get time later to bank some more time on it. I wonder how many calories I’ll burn cleaning house today?????

I’m glad ya all are having fun while I keep pondering what the heck a Wii fit thing is! I’m departing the farm tomorrow for the big city so maybe I can get a clue while I’m out and about!
