Okay, I wanted to be able to hold myself accountable for skipping workouts, so I’m posting my daily stats here.
Managed to get in 61 minutes in the Wii fit (original) today. I didn’t feel like playing, but figured that since I skipped my 3 mile walk this morning due to inclement weather, I needed to do Something!
Here’s to getting Fit in the New Year  -

good for you. I’ve been playing with mine too!! Funny I seem to do that every January!!
The rythmic kung fu on the wiifit pluss is cool.I also like the bike riding game. The kids just love the segway racing.

Ohhhh… One of these days I’m going to buy that wii fit plus. I bet dh would love the segway racing. We actually got to try real segways when we were on vacation, (of course it was a 5 minute ride) but boy was it fun, lol.The Kung foo sounds fun too. I like the buddha guy on the first one, where you have to sit real still and focus. It cracks me up.I managed to get in another 46 minutes today. I’d really like to go riding for a few hours, but this cold snap doesn’t seem to be giving up. :overreaction:
*yawn* I suppose, it’s getting to be past my bedtime… see you gals in the morning.

Completed Thursday WO & 30 Min on the WiiFit.Hopefully- if the temps rise about 5 more degrees I’ll get in a Horseback ride today. You’d think that’d be a workout for the horse only, but it’s a great Rump/thigh workout for the rider too.
*Update*
Completed another 35 minutes on wii Fit & an hour or so horseback riding. Wish my tailbone was healed- most days it hurts to walk, let alone workout!!! -

DH picked up the WiiFit Plus game for me yesterday, so I got a chance to play that today.
(60 minutes logged so far)
A couple things I like and a few I dont . . .I like the new exercises and being able to choose “areas to work on”. I got a kick out of the kung foo doo hickey, but I’m lousy at it at the moment.
Things I don’t like… I don’t like that it doesn’t count your calories if you don’t complete a challenge. For example, in the obstacle course, I made it 3 levels and got bumped off or ran out of time, whatever it was. Then in restarted, after 20 minutes of playing it said I burned 9 calories.
Really.. find it hard to believe that I only burned 9 calories doing all the weirdo things I was doing to pass the levels. I think nose picking burns more calories than that.Anyway… I think their “calorie burning Calculator” needs a little more programming.
I like that it’s easy to switch between family members, because whenever you get a new game everyone is like, “lemme try, lemme try it, it’s my turn” or “oh, Mom you SUCK, I can beat that. . . “
lol….All in all, I like the new version, it helps break up the first version, which had gotten rather monotonous.

glad you like the wii fit plus. I like being able to make my own workout and have it be the same every day. I banked 20 of free step yesterday while the kids watched a movie
I haven’t been on today so i guess I better get busy!! -

Ok, did my yoga and strength for the day on the wiifit plus, also did some rythmic boxing and the bike riding, I also took the dog for a walk this morning. Hopefully I’ll get time later to bank some more time on it. I wonder how many calories I’ll burn cleaning house today?????

Calories Burned with Home Activities
It’s a calories count for how many calories you burn doing every little thing you can image, from making beds to tapping your own Maple Tree’s lol.Sometimes its nice to remember that even though we didnt find time during the day for an actually workout- we still burned lots of cals!

I’m glad ya all are having fun while I keep pondering what the heck a Wii fit thing is! I’m departing the farm tomorrow for the big city so maybe I can get a clue while I’m out and about!
