Gather is a site that allows people to post articles, and get points

for it. Points are cashable for gift cards to places like Macy’s,

      Home Depot, and Borders Books.

Additionally, though, if you can earn 3125 points in a single

calendar month, you are offered a cash option. 3125 points is worth

$50 cash. Roughly, 62.5 points is a dollar at Gather.

I’m just thinking if you post your MANY budget101 articles at

Gather, you can earn some cash, or gift cards for prizes on your

site. Or, for yourself, or whatever.

I don’t get a referral bonus at all, but it IS an awesome site.

This year I’ve cashed in for the following:

I’ve earned the right to the cash status, but prefer the gift cards

(once you switch to cash, you only get cash- you can leave the cash

program for gift cards, but once you leave the cash option, it isn’t

      offered again).

My husband has cashed out for 1 $25 Borders card, and 1 $50 Borders

card, both for me to use for buying Christmas Gifts. He’s got enough

in his account right now that if he’s finally offered the cash

option, he can cash out for around $85. He’s only been a member

      since the begining of september.

Anyway- it’s open to whoever wants to join. You can post any

original content for articles, video clips, and pictures. as for

types of articles, well, there is everything under the sun.

you find groups based on what you like to post about, and like yahoo

groups, there are many varied types of groups- recipe groups, money

management, computer help, games, kids, parenting advice, and so

much more. the main difference is that when you post an article,

picture, or video, you can post it 1 time and send it to as many

groups as you want, to maximize views.

It’s just gather.com. They feature articles all the time. My last

few Christmas budgeting posts I’ve made here were also posted there,

and were featured by their main money.gather.com page- which is

      sponsered by Charles Schwab.

For the aspiring authors out there, the site also sponsers real

writing compititions, co-sponsered by Borders Books. The winners get

their books published, and get a book tour, and so much more.

Several excellent writers have been found on Gather and published.

My page at Gather is Gillybean.gather.com- hope to see some of you

      there!
