This is good for any fish, fowl, or meat…can use on a camping trip by making ahead or just use it with what you grill on the deck;-DLemon Tahini Sauce and/or Marinade
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup purchased tahini (sesame paste)—best roasted in a jar, rather than raw in a can
2 tbs low-sodium tamari or soy sauce
1 1/2 tbs brown rice syrup
1-in piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cayenne
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbs sesame seedsIn a small bowl, combine tahini and water. This works the best if water is added a little at a time.
Mix in low-sodium tamari or soy sauce, brown rice syrup, piece of peeled and grated fresh ginger, minced garlic, cayenne, lemon juice, and sesame seeds.
Cover until ready to use. Makes 4 servings sauce or marinade.
