      Hi
I just thought i would tell you about an excellent leather conditioner i
just found. I had an old leather jacket, it was given to me years ago by my
grandmother and I loved it but it had gone hard and crackly. I was going to
put it in the salvos bin but I really loved it. I kept meaning to get
leather conditioner but it was sooo expensive so kept shoving it to the back
of the cupboard. I was going through an old recipe book and in a hint
section it said to condition leather with olive oil. I thought “yeah,
right”. I had an old leather wallet that the kids were playing with so I
thought i would try it on that – no harm done. I was amazed. It leather
came up soft and supple and looked great. So I dragged out the jacket and
gave it a go. You could see the leather soaking the olive oil in. I had
done half and got called away for an hour. Came back and was totally
stunned. The leather that had been conditioned was wonderful. It looked
better than it had ever looked. I have now conditioned leather shoes, bags,
jackets, a lounge chair, the dogs collar and lead, and am looking for
anything else to try. I also have a lovely soft leather jacket that looks
wonderful and I dont feel guilty about! Try it – it is cheap and easy but
      does a brilliant job.
