I found a cute way to make my kitchen look “country”, i went to lowes and for about $9 a sheet, you can bead faux beadboard in 8′ sheets. I made my walls look so cute for almost nothing, top it with a chair rail and it is super cute

The kitchen cabinets add more beauty to the kitchen. Kitchen cabinets are available in many different colors and designs.

Awesome, can’t wait to see photos! We just redid the kitchen floor in laminate and I want to redo the honey-oak colored cabinets with a cherry gel stain to give it an entirely new look but my other half isn’t completely inspired to help me. I’m not sure I want to tackle redoing a project that big!

Laminate flooring and granite counter-tops helped to achieve an appealing look in my kitchen. I just replaced the outdated cabinets with cherry kitchen cabinets that gave it a fantabulous appearance. Will share the pics asap once the renovation finishes.

That sounds beautiful and forgive me but none of those things sounds very frugal- Granite, cherry, both are extremely expensive.

Sounds like a minimum $15,000 upgrade to the kitchen. When we did ours we went with corian, it was about 1/2 the price of granite and opted to use a gel stain to transform our oak cabinets to “look” like cherry. In all it cost us about $4,000 and that was ridiculous enough.

I couldn’t fathom the expense of installing granite.

Just a tip on the granite…if you have a small countertop to re-do, I had a contractor quote me $100 for a scrap slab for a 31×24 bathroom countertop I needed to have redone. Unfortunately, I could never get him to follow through with actually doing the job. I ended up having a “friend” tile two countertops without asking the cost. Big mistake!

Since he was at it, I had him re-grout the walls in the bathroom and shower. By the time he was done, his bill was $2400 and that was just for his labor. I had purchased the tile, sinks, and faucets myself.

      Lesson learned!!

I always look at the clearance section of Lowes, Home Depot and Menards. There is always something there that is discounted and most of the time I can talk them down on their discounts which then is even cheaper. recently got a Granite look counter top and made it into an island type area…

for total of $51 and some change. Counter top was $12.46. New door for my kitchen originally $157 marked down to $52…

asked if they would take $20.00 they did… had 2 scratches which I used scratch repair on and voila updated door and look! Just an idea!!!

here we have Habitat resell stores. They are filled with everything that you can imagine… donated by people to raise money for Habitat homes.

I got soooo many things there for pennies on the dollar and my money will help someone get a home of their own!!! win win situation!

Kitchen remodel is the big deal so it is important to take expert advice before remodelling. The price of your kitchen is totally depended son the design and accessories you choose. So firstly take your budget into account then only proceed for the planning.
