ITALIAN GREEN BEANS
Kenny Rogers Roasters Copycat Recipe
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 onion, sliced
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
1 cup water
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
salt and pepper, to taste
Place the two teaspoons of olive oil in a medium non-stick frying pan and saute the onions and garlic until tender. Be careful not to burn the garlic. When onions are tender, add the can of tomatoes along with their juices, the one cup of water, the green beans, and the basil. Cover and simmer until the green beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
