1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup Heinz ketchup
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
6 tablespoons lemon juice
salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamonCombine all in a saucepan & bring mixture to boil, Stirring constantly about 4 to 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and continue to stir (about 5 minutes) making sure sugar is completely dissolved.Cook on lowest heat setting, uncovered, without stirring for 15 minutes. Transfer to top of double boiler over simmering water if to be used as a basting sauce for ribs or chicken during baking; or cool sauce and refrigerate covered to use within 30 days.

This looks very tasty. I’ve used apple butter for a number of sauces (and chili) so trying applesauce would be good I think!
