KeymasterHere is the recipe I have for making your own copycat Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage:
For Sage Flavor Breakfast Sausage, In a medium bowl combine the following ingredients, mixing well:* 16 ounces ground pork
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
* 1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage (or more- I usually add an additional 1/4 tsp as I love the flavor of sage!)
* 1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (or more)
* 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
* 1/4 teaspoon coriander
* 1/4 teaspoon msg (I use Accent flavor enhancer)for Hot Breakfast sausage, in a medium bowl combine the following ingredients, mixing well:
* 16 ounces ground pork
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more)
* 1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
* 1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more)
* 1/4 teaspoon coriander
* 1/4 teaspoon msg (such as Accent)or for Maple breakfast sausage; in a medium bowl combine the following ingredients, mixing well:
* 16 ounces ground pork
* 3 tablespoons maple syrup
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon msg (such as Accent)
* 1/4 teaspoon corianderOnce you have your sausage mixed, Then form into patties using your hands. cook as you would Jimmy dean breakfast sausage. Tastes Exactly like the store bought kind!! Enjoy
