I have not tried this recipe, but just got it from a friend today.
I thought I would send it along to answer a request for
Cereal Energy Bars
Save money by making your own sports-style snacks.
Makes 12 bars
1/2 cup Peanuts, chopped
1/4 cup Pitted dates, chopped
1/2 cup Raisins
3 cups Kashi (available at health food stores and some grocery chains)
1/2 cup Peanut butter
1/4 cup Honey
1/4 cup Corn syrup
Toss the peanuts, dates, raisins and cereal in a mixing bowl. Add the
peanut butter, honey and corn syrup to a saucepan. Bring to a boil,
Pour over the mixture and blend well. Press into a
lightly buttered baking pan. Cook at 350 for 10 minutes.
Cool and cut into
bars. Store at room temperature.
