I would definitely have a discussion with your pediatrician before switching to a homemade formula. Today’s formulas are as about as close to the real thing as you can get — you’ll have a hard time replicating everything that’s in them.

If the price is an issue my pediatrician said the Walmart brand is exactly the same as Enfamiland the contents on the label certainly supports that. And the powder is less than half the price. My baby was 8 weeks early and was fed breast milk for the first 10 weeks or so until I gave up trying to pump and feed because he refused the breast and then I switched to the Walmart formula. Anyways, at his first birthday he has caught up his real age for weight and height so it must do ok nutritionally.

Hi, I’m Tammie, new to the group. I did a search and didn’t find any
posts about home made baby formula. Does this exist? I thought I had
heard about it somewhere but cannot remember where.

      Any help/ideas would be appreciated!
