Why didn’t I remember that?
My son was breastfed until 9 months, at which point I was so malnourished
that I was not able to produce enough. (My husband did not feed us). The
doc tried to get him in WIC formula – cow’s formula just made him cough and
he didn’t grow at all. Soy formula was no better. They put my son in the
hospital after he did not grow for two months. They couldn’t figure
anything out until my mother snuck in goat’s milk. He started gaining
weight right away. Something about goat’s milk being closest to human?
Anyway, he was picky about that – he liked best when I got the raw goat’s
milk from the market – non-pasteurized. It smells like a goat!!!!
