Hi Sylvia,

Welcome to the group. this is one place that has great people with neat ideas. I am retired from the Coast Guard and my husband is in the reserves. I just finished my degree using the GI bill. I am in the process of getting my substitute package together. I am in southeast Michigan, where it is snowing but not sticking to the ground. We have two children, daughte-10 and son-9.

Hello, everyone!

I’m so excited to be part of the group!

My name is Sylvia. I’m 43 years old… Wife, mother of 5, and
elementary teacher from North Carolina…(where it’s snowing right
now).

My hubby is retired from the military and works a civilian job now so
we’ll be staying put here in NC after moving around for so many years
(having been at the mercy of Uncle Sam).

Three of our children are biological and two (the oldest) are
adopted.

We’ll celebrate our 20th anniversary on February 12th.

I teach at a small private school. My salary is even less than
miniscule because our three sons’ tuition is deducted from my pay.

I love finding new ways to save money and live frugal, ways to get
out and stay out of debt, and exploring links and freebies online!

Today’s economy is the worst I’ve ever seen! Everyday is a challenge
just to make ends meet for basic needs.

Recycling, finding low-cost recipes, freebie and hunting, and frugal
living is necessary for our family!

I look forward to learning and sharing fresh new ideas and getting
better acquainted!
