Hi Nancy, I am Herlean, in Ohio. Married, mother of one. I know that different areas charge various prices.

For example, gas prices are higher at the same chain if they are located closer to the highway exit. Go a mile or two into town and the gas drops a few cents a gallon. It has made the news that grocery stores charge and even stock different items in different areas.

The “upscale” neighborhoods get fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, “nicer” cuts of meats and more variety. The “poorer” neighborhoods don’t. People have their health suffer because of this practice.

(If they can not afford to get transportation to another area, they can’t shop there.) You can search for the stories on google, I’m sure. Never been to Seattle. My Mom lived there years and years ago.

      Said it was nice.

There’s more but that’s it in a nutshell.
I usually don’t have time to reply just skim, but as I was skimming –
I’m noticing the prices of items you’re purchasing in your respected
areas. Seattle must be expensive because we don’t get those prices.
I’m wondering if anyone knows if the prices are marked differently in
different areas, neighborhoods, cities, etc. I shop everywhere,
outside of Seattle, since I’m always mobile…even the Walmarts in
different counties are stocked and priced differently.
      hmmm,
      scratching my head.
      thanks, nancy
