Impossible Chili Pie does the impossible by making it’s own crust while it bakes in your oven. Simple combine all the ingredients and pour into a prepared pie plate and the oven does the work.
I used to buy Bisquick, but I discovered the recipe here on the site and I use it all the time so it saves me quite a bit of money to use my own.
What’s In It:
1 lb. ground beef
1 (7 1/2 oz.) can of whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 env. chili seasoning mix (or 3 tbs homemade chili seasoning)
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c. milk, maybe less
3/4 c. Bisquick baking mix QuickMix (aka homemade Bisquick)
Grease pie plate. Brown ground beef (or turkey) in skillet until no longer pink, then Drain grease (not down your sink drain!) Add in tomatoes, onions and seasoning mix cook 2 minutes. Spread in prepared pie pan and sprinkle with cheese.
Beat remaining ingredients until smooth. Pour into pie pan over top of seasoned meat.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden brown.
