Put on rubber gloves to protect hands from any sharp edges
Prepare surface to be glued by cleaning pieces with soapy water and toothbrush or gentle scrubbing pad
Rinse and allow pieces to dry thoroughlyPrepare a positioning box by filling a shallow container 3/4 full with dry rice or dried beans
Use paintbrush to apply glue to only one of the broken edges
Apply only enough glue to cover the edgeJoin pieces together with a swift movement
Apply light pressure and avoid any back and forth motions
Do not remove any glue that oozes from jointSet clay pot carefully in positioning box in a balanced position
Allow pot to dry for at least one hourGently scrape off excess glue with razor blade
Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water to remove any remaining gluePlace repaired clay pot back in positioning box for at least 24 hours
Ensure the piece has completely dried
