While I understand about the environment, I work for the USPS. We are going thru some tough times right now with a drop in mail volume and jobs are in jeopardy. Please reconsider!

This is great information! Thank you for the link, FreebieQueen! I want to stop so many catalogs that come in the mail, like V. Secret.

Mostly because I have no inclination to buy any of the stuff they are selling but to also stop the damage they cause to our environment.

Seems like once you order from one, you get hammered with a bunch more. I think they stick you on a mailing list.

Oh this is so great to have…thank you! I’m always trying to eliminate junk mail…and I do most of my shopping, except for grocery, online so I have no need for the endless supply of catalogs!

Thank you for this information. I have been sending all junk mail back in their no postage reply envelope. This comes in handy when I want to know if the mail has run or not.

Now it is nice to have a place to go for help.

Problem solved……I write return..unsolicited junk mail on the stuff i receive and put it back in the mail. i’ve been told that makes the sender have to pay for postage both ways (double $ for the usps) and gives the sender the option of stopping the paper deluge. now i will feel good about continuing this practice, knowing it also provides employment for the postal workers.

I am sure there are a number of ways to get rid of unwanted junk mail for good, but the easiest way I have found to deal with unwanted junk mail is just to make a filter with your email service (gmail, AOL, Yahoo etc…). To make a filter with most email services just go into the setting area and look for create filter and this will let you design filter(s) to orginize all incoming emails into a folder of your choosing. You can choose to put mail in different folders you set up or just filter unwanted emails into the trash.

Once these filters are in place, all emails will auto-organize themselves before you even check your inbox!
