Wrapping Paper:
Use magazine pages to wrap small gifts.
The comic section of your newspaper also makes pretty paper.Save used wrapping paper all through the year, just roll them back onto the paper tube and place a small piece of scotch tape on the edge to hold in place. These really work great for small gifts where the previously folded lines won’t even show. If the paper is the wrong theme, you could just turn it over and decorate the plain side yourself!
Don’t buy expensive ribbons and bows to decorate your packages, if you hunt around you can find the cheap stuff that will be just as pretty!
Cut up old Christmas cards make great gift tags too!
If you sew, you could even use scrap material to wrap gifts.
Use Alternative Containers like pop bottles, wash them out, cut them with curved edges to prevent sharp pieces and fold them down, wrap with a ribbon!

I have also used freezer paper and draw or stamp on the white. I have also used foil. Shiny and nice.

lol! we always buy a bunch of wrapping paper the week after christmas when it’s like 75% off but we hang on to such treasures that come in case we run out and we’ll need it for birthdays and baby gift wrap.

I have also use brown paper bags. I have a ball of twine that I use as ribbon. This ball has lasted me a long time also.
