It depends. If you prepay inside (tell them that you want $20 of
gas), then there is no hold since they are processing a transaction
just as they would do at any other store. If you pay at the pump, itholds $50 or $75, depending upon VISA or MC or your bank. For
example, when I was with USBank, they would hold $1. When I was with
Chase, they would hold $1. At Bank of America, you see no hold orpending transaction. In 2 days the full amount of the purchase will
be pending.
