I have a box of yellow Cake mix (Betty Crocker Super Moist) and hubby really only likes Chocolate cake. Can I just add Hershey Baking Powder to it? Would it turn out OK, if so any idea how much to add and would I need to add any additional liquid?
Just trying to use up something in the cupboard before it goes bad.

Dump the cake mix into a bowl, add 5 Tablespoons of Baking cocoa, mix well. Then add the remaining ingredients mentioned on the box. You don’t need to add any additional liquid, but if you’re worried, you can add 1 additional Tablespoon of water.
If you’re not in the mood for cake, you can make yummy cookies:
1 cake mix (if you want Double chocolate cookies, add 5 Tbs of Baking Cocoa to the mix)
â…” cup rolled oats
½ cup margarine, softened
1 egg
½ cup chocolate chipsCombine cake mix, oats, margarine, and egg in a bowl and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

I will actually try both of these (I have 2 boxes) & hubby eat just about the whole bag of Chocolate Chip’s (I was wondering what to do with them as well, thought about 1/2 batch of Chocolate Chip cookies). These will take care of both issues. Thanks.

On the cookies, is it just what you listed, it does not seem like enough liquid?
