I did this with my fingers …at first It’s hard to separate but there was one lil pocket that was separated from the skin so I took my rings off and just moved my fingers back and forth till I got to the butt. I mixed a garlic and herb soup mix and fresh garlic in butter and poultry seasoning mixed that all up and spread it up under the skin all over then all over the skin. I put my turkey on a bed of celery and carotts and chicken broth and stuffed it with onions and a lemon an fresh herbs rosemary, sage and thyme then on to bake….it was the best most flavorful and moist bird I’ve ever cooked……mine tend to be too dry.
