If birds are annihilating your strawberries before you can pick them, here’s a simple trick you can use year after year! paint rocks to look like strawberries and place them in the garden while the berries are still blossoming, by the time the real strawberries come out, the birds will be so discouraged from pecking at rocks that they’ll move on,
saving your strawberries for your own family!
if you’re not really sure how to paint rocks to look like strawberries, here is a fantastic step by step tutorial by lee wismer (by the way- photo credit goes to lee as well!)
Put these STRAWBERRY PAINTED STONES around your strawberry plants and when birds come to investigate they will only find hard untasty rocks. Then when your plants produce juicy ripe berries the birds will still think that the berries are stone and will avoid eating them.
