Normally, We buy bulk… a Side of Beef (sometimes a Whole Critter,
sometimes a half), a whole Pig, 20lbs Bacon, and we usually get 1 deer
(Venison), mainly because in Maine you can only hunt 1 each per year.
However, Since we have relocated out here in the Midwest, it’s a whole
different story. This year I am really looking forward to getting 2 or
3, and making sausage out of one, burger out of another and steaks out
of the 3rd. They’re all grain and corn fed (thanks to the multitudes of
Farmers here) & taste like beef, without the fat.
