Re: Morning sickness
I’ve had 3 kids, and 3 different types of morning sickness. With my
first, I didn’t keep a single meal down for almost 8 full months. I
started getting sick almost immediatly. With her, the only thing I
found that really helped soothe my belly was vanilla shakes. They
were nice and cool, and the vanilla soothed the upset feeling. It
worked for me almost every single time.I think there were two times
it didn’t, and both times were times I waited too long to get the
shake. With my 2nd child, I had the type of sickness where you constantly
feel like you have to throw up, but rarely ever do. In a lot of
ways, that was way worse than the first, because with her, after
throwing up I felt a LOT better. Shakes didn’t work with him,
crackers didn’t work with him.Flat cola worked, though. Or even
semi-flat cola. Pepsi didn’t work, but just about every other cola I
tried did. With my last child, I had a combo of both types of sickness. I’d
throw up, and I’d feel nasty, and again, the shakes didn’t work, and
this time the cola didn’t work. Nothing worked with her.She was
just a rumbly baby who liked to kick mommy’s stomache. 🙂If you get sick in the morning after getting up, try laying down for
a few minutes after waking up, and maybe drink a weak tea, and eat a
few crackers before moving around. I noticed with all 3 that when my
stomach was empty, I tended to feel sicker when moving around. Also, word of caution, if you are prone to being sick and throwing
up, stay away from popcorn. That is one of the worst things in the
world to throw up.
