      does anyone know a cheap way to make detergant for washing machines?

      and where to get the supplies? thank you very much.

      Go to the budget101 site http://www.budget101.com . They have a recipe there.
      I just use ½ and ½ of washing soda (NOT Baking soda) and borax. Fill my scoop 2/3 of the way full with that, then fill it up the rest of the way with reg detergent (like tide or surf). It lasts forever and you don’t have to grate any soap.
      Supplies? I get mine from Kroger – so any grocery store (but not all carry the washing soda – you do have to look for that one).

      Or else doing it with tide or surf just grate one bar of ivory soap per recipe. It takes a while but it works – my family was sort of afriad to try it at first but it actually worked well.

      You could use Felds Naptha which is an old tried and

      true soap bar you can find in super markets. Its been

      around about 100 years and if you melt it down to a

      cream, it really gets clothes clean.

      Whiteners, Dryer Sheets, Starch, etc.
