In order to create the base, they used a thick piece of plywood. Just cut out the shape and then paint it white. (if you plan on putting it outside, poly it before continuing).
Then holes were drilled for the lights. For the head a Styrofoam ball from Michael’s craft store was used. The head is anchored using a really long screw.Use leftover pieces of plywood to make the eyes and nose… just paint them the colors that you want.
The rest is all very obvious. A staple gun was used to keep the mittens and scarf in place, as well as pins to keep the top hat on his head.

This is such an adorable craft idea. I was thinking of making a smaller version for indoors, so we’re using luan which is a much lighter & thinner piece of wood. We’re putting ours to the left of the christmas tree. Thank you for sharing this, we love it!
