Hmmm….thats a tough one….but this might be an idea, actually I have two ideas:
      1. I’d like to mention something I came across the other day called titletrader. http://www.titletrader.com. If you have piles of books, dvds, vhs tapes, music cds, computer games/software, magazines, craft books, etc sitting around that you don’t use you can list them on this site. When someone orders the items you listed, and they receive it, they leave positive feedback at least 99% of the time. After you get your feedback you get points added to your account which you can use to “buy” dvds etc that others have listed on the website. You can also literally buy points for different prices but I found this not cost effective. It costs at least $4 per point. usually more. Which is why I say it is not cost effective. Most of the good stuff in my opinion “costs” 2 or 3 points. It costs $3 on average to mail an item. This translates to “costing” you $6 to $9 to get a
good item. If you buy points at $4 a point….well it ends up “costing” you $8 to $12 for the same item. It is worth checking it out though, I like it so far.

      2. If you are looking for gifts for teens I noticed ebay has dvds, music cd’s, computer games, lots of cool stuff people like, especially people that age…for very reduced prices. Recently my husband and I saw a movie at Walmart we wanted, it was $15.99. I said well lets go home and check ebay and if ebay costs more or the same we will come back and get it next time. I got it for $7 on ebay. Another time I got 2 Cake (music group) cd for my sister for Christmas and they were $7 each, I paid $15 for both of them. They were $15 EACH in the store. I save a lot of money buying for myself and others on ebay when it comes to dvds, music and computer software.

I’m already thinking about the holidays. The kids in the family all seem to want $$$, but I am used to buying things on clearance, each costing much less than $10. They always compare, how much did you get?I am not sure what to do this year, give in to what the kids want or try to find stuff for older elementary/pre- teens on clearance, which is harder & harder every year.
