Sorry, waste of time and $$ ; Urban legend.

DEET is still the gold standard. I know some folks swear by other

stuff and do not like “chemicals.” The magic word “natural” does not

guarantee wonderful. The plague is “natural;” great white sharks are

“natural.” But the decision is certainly up to you.

After a case of Lyme Disease last year from a known tick bite(using

bug spray–they’re not perfect) I use even more! I do 18th c.

reenacting. In one intensely tick-infested field this spring, several

others (men who were too macho to use spray) were bitten. Although I

saw several on me and my clothes, I had no bites.
