      Hi Diane,

I found this in my files. It was before I was keeping track of what list the
recipes came from. I hope it helps.

If anyone knows who wrote this, please let me know!

Hi Tammy. I had posted that “recipe”–you can be pretty creative.
Fill a one-cup measuring cup with assorted grains. I had been using
oatmeal, bulger wheat, grits, and brown rice.

      But you can use
whatever you like–I tend to like 50% oatmeal. As long as it totals
      to 1 cup.

Add 4 cups water, 1 tsp-1 Tbsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon and other
spices (a little ginger is good), 1/4 cup dried chopped fruit if you
      want.

Cook on medium low for 6-8 hours. You might want to try this during
the day the first time so you can check the time and temp–I burnt a
batch the other day and it made me so sad! I tried cooking it on
      medium overnight and it burned.

there have been times i cooked it on
the low setting, and the brown rice wasn’t completely cooked–you
probably wouldn’t have that problem with most other grains. you’ll
have to test out your crockpot.

serve with milk, brown sugar, whatever. it keeps very well in the
      fridge.

yum!! i’m going grocery shopping tonight because i’m out of grains!!
