I have a 6 year old boy. He loves LEGO and hotwheels cars. He also likes putting things together – there are wooden kits available at toy’s R us for about $19.99 that contain wood, screws, screwdriver, etc, and the child can actually make a vehicle (or another thing like a bird house, mailbox, etc) He just loves this kind of thing…

a little paint would be a perfect accompaniment to the kit (most don’t come with paint) so he can decorate it the way he wants. My son also loves board games, like Snakes and Ladders, Trouble or UNO. Perhaps a game would be a good choice for him?

I tend to stay away from ninja turtles, spider man, and that sort of thing as it can be contriversial, so unless you know the parents opinion on those kinds of agressive toys, I feel it is better to stay with something that is neutral. Hope there was a helpful idea
      there! Rachel

I need some ideas for a Christmas gift for a 6 year old boy that won’t
break the bank. Don’t want to spend more than $30 or $40. I never had a
boy so I have no idea what to get him.

Long story but I don’t get to
see him much, so I don’t know what he has or needs & I want him to know
that we do care even if we aren’t related & the situation going on with
      his
mother isn’t his fault. Nothing big or heavy because I have to mail
      the gift.
