That depends on what state you live in Diane because here in Florida for example you can only apply online. The state did away with face to face interviews. The centers where you can file your food stamps in Florida are manned by a couple people who help you do it online at the computers or fax stuff in. I hear more states are doing this so it is important to know what state the woman who is asking lives in.
