The laundry detergent is on the Budget101 website. The one that turns to gel. It cleans our clothes pretty well.

Fabric softener is vinegar.

As far as the rice,my son just started eating store brand rice-a-roni, so I had to make it as good or better. My rice dish is fluffier, I use about 2 cups of rice, I break up some thin spaghetti, brown this in butter ormargarin. I add Watkins chicken favor, a little onionpowder,garlic powder and parsley.

I (and of course my picky son) check to see if any other flavor is needed to taste just before all the water is gone. When cooking rice I don’t know if you know that it’s usually one part rice 2 parts water. I learned this from my ex-mother-in-law God rest her soul, she was from Japan and rice was her base for everything.

Or you can just add a little more rice and water to the box mixes.

Don’t add too much or there won’t be much flavor without adding additional flavoring.
