I have a little girl who just turned 1 this month. All my friends have
boys, and seem to be connected to people who give them many hand-me-
down clothes for their children. One of my friends gets virtually all
of her son’s clothes from one acquaintance (whose son is slightly
older), only having to buy things like socks and shoes. I have tried
to casually put the word out that I’m looking for someone who wants to
pass on their little girl’s clothes, but to no avail yet. I of course
shop at a local consignment shop, but a pair of pants or sweater can
run up to $7. I haven’t been able to go to yard sales due to my
schedule, and other people seem to snatch up the toddler clothes on
Freecycle before I can. Any other ideas on how to locate someone who
would be happy to get rid of kid’s clothes they no longer need? I’m in
a suburb of Boston.

I was just reading my new Real Simple magazine and there was some saving money tips in it they mentioned a site called handmedowns I did check it out and seems like a great way to get little one’s things (my kids are too old for those things) but they did have more than just clothes. Hope it helps. 🙂
