Grilled Country-Style Ribs
3 to 4 lb country-style pork ribs (not boneless)kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup molasses
3 tbs packed brown sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tbs tomato paste
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
Heat the oven to 375° F. Line a large rimmed baking or roasting pan with foil.
Arrange the ribs in the prepared pan and sprinkle all over with the kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let the ribs stand for about 10 min.
Bake for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until the ribs are very tender.
In 1-quart saucepan, mix together remaining ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the grill.
Remove the ribs from the baking pan and brush with sauce.
Grill over direct heat, basting and turning frequently, for about 15 min, or until browned. Serves 4-6
