I have a Yellow Lab mix that is HIGHLY allergic to any grains and the cost of store bought grain free treats is ridiculous, so I played with different types of ”flour” and found a mix that my dog loves.

2+ cups garbanzo bean flour(it seems to be humidity sensitive)
      3/4 cup pure pumpkin puree
3/4 cup sugar free peanut butter
      1/4 cup molasses
      1 tsp flax seed oil

Mix above ingredients adding garbanzo flour as needed for desired consistency. Drop spoonful of desired size on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, bake at 275 untill hard and crunchy. Cool and place in ziploc baggies, freeze those that you wont use right away.

Watch carefully as they have a tendency to get dark fast.

I make mine the consistency of sugar cookies and put them in my cookie press and use the ribbon disc to create a long ribbon directly on the cookie sheet, then cut the cookies to desired size, usually about 1 inch.

I Make a simple version using GB Flour, baby food, parsley and beef bouillon crystals. I usually use a carrot or sweet potato baby food for a little sweetness. The dogs love them.

One dog does not like peanut butter. It takes 2 cups flour 1 lg jar or 2 sm jars of baby food, a handful of parsley and rounded tbsp of bouillon powder. You could use chicken but my dog is also allergic to chicken.

      (Gives her ear infections).
