I don’t like beets any other way…
In a sauce pan combine:
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
add:
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
Cook till clear and bubbly and thick.
add:
3 cans of whole cooked beets cubed
Heat through. Serve warm.
Refrigerate leftovers, they are delicious as a salad dressing.
