My daughter is 13 and LOVES claires…(jewelry store) every mall I have been on the west coast has one..I am assuming they are everywhere…well they are always running 10 items for $5…I got my daughter $15 worth of stuff…Necklaces, earings, cell phone covers etc. so now when she fixes up an outfit..she can go through the misc box and find new jewelry for it…The kids think she “shops” all the time cuz she has lots of “new” jewelry all the time.. Accessories help make a few outfits look different which is “important” to teenage girls..lol we keep a gift box at the house also and we stock up on stuff from claires….if they dont have the sale..i woudl get a gift cert to claires…they can find alot for a little.
tressa
also my daughter loves funky “toe” socks…

Subject: Budget101.com : Gifts for 17 & 14 y.o. girlsMy father is sponsoring a family for Christmas, but has asked me to do
the shopping. There are two children, girls ages 17 and 14. I don’t
know much about what kids like after about age 5, so I’m lost!If
these are the only gifts these kids will receive, I’d really like them
to be something they’ll enjoy. The agency recommends the following breakdown, per child:
$20 – clothing item
$20 – toy (or teenage equivalent!)
$10 – school suppliesBoth parents are to get a $20 practical gift too. I’m thinking about
fleece pullovers for them (we’re in New England).Any ideas about what to get the girls? Other than makeup, what are
teenage girls into these days?Thanks,
