Please do not give up on the idea of school supplies. Often the
notebooks are full by now and the pens are dry or lost.
My 14 year old daughter likes: to draw, make beaded jewelery, funky
socks and mittens.
You might get some lotions, candles and even a small stuffed animal.
What girl would not like a new handbag or inexpensive watch. Maybe a
small clock/radio or a mug full of Hershy Kisses even a small
flashlight. Kids want to remember their friends disposable cameras with
processing is good.
I have given kids in the Boy Scout troop Water Bottles filled with
Christmas Candy. Boys seem to appreciate Scarves around here more than
anything. The polar fleece hats never seem to die…I know they came
from me because I make a series of them each year in interesting color
combos. (Fun seeing them come out of HS in them.)
Hope this helps
