Gas Prices

This also my dilemma. I work about 45 minutes away from home using the tollway. I pay the toll as well.

I am looking for a job closer to home but no such luck yet. Going to work and buying groceries leaves me no money to buy anything else or just to save a portion of my paycheck.

Not everyone has the opportunity to spend only $10 a week in gas. You are so lucky. At $3.74 a gallon here in CT that will get me to the store and back a couple times.

Unless we have a job that’s within walking distance or we can ride a bike to I don’t think anyone could spend just that. I travel at least 300 miles a week. Just put $70 in my tank of my van yesterday and I was at a 1/4 tank.

Already used a 1/4 tank since then.
My daughter figured it out that if she goes 60 miles an hour on the turnpike that she’ll save even more gas than going the speed limit of 65. The faster you drive the more gas you waste.
Someone sent me an email a few months back on a pill that goes in the gas tank and saves on gas usage. If I find the info I’ll post it for everyone.

Back to work after baby– how do you know when you’re ready?
