I go through alot of yogurt at my house, so I decided to start making
homemade yogurt. I use all powdered milk and follow the instructions
in The Tightwad Gazette. So, all that was left was to find a way to
flavor it…don’t know about you, but vanilla yogurt is good, but
      gets old quick.

Stumbled on a very cheap and easy way to flavor it. Generic
unsweetened kool-aid packets. Just mix 1/4 tsp of the powder into a
      cup of yogurt.

Delicious! Each packet costs me 10 cents and has 1
3/4 tsp in it. So enough flavoring for 7 cups of yogurt for 10 cents!

I cut this recipe in half with plain nonfat yogurt and black cherry Kool-Aid. I added a tablespoon of sugar and 1/8th teaspoon of black cherry Kool-Aid to the plain nonfat yogurt. Tasted like flavored yogurt.

If you do it without the sugar, it is really sour/tangy tasting.
