Free Credit Report?

Has anyone tried to get a free credit report? I saw it listed on the couponsurfer website, but I’m not sure if it’s a scam to try to get my personal information or if you have to end up paying for anything.
If anyone has tried this or know anything about this, I’d appreciate hearing from you. I’ve read things about obtaining your credit report but it says you must be unemployed or have a dispute about something on your credit report in order to get it free.
