Pat, The Foxfire series of books has over TWENTY books in the series. And yes, if you want to know how the “old timers” did it, then these are great books for it. 😉 You can learn the basics of just about anything from them. Basketweaving, moonshinemaking, coffin creating, basic medical cures, cooking, meat preserving, wagon making… These are just a few of the ideas covered in these books. I don’t have the entire set, but someday hope to. 🙂
