forest preserve district of cook county offering free 2009 CALENDAR

The Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s (“FPDCC”) 2009 calendar is now available for free to the general public by pick-up or by mail! Interested individuals can pick one up in several ways:
(1) Visit the FPDCC’s Permits and Recreation Department, 536 N. Harlem Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60305.
(2) Visit five of our six nature centers:
o Crabtree Nature Center, 3 Stover Road, Barrington, IL;
o River Trail Nature Center, 3120 Milwaukee Avenue, Northbrook, IL;
o Sand Ridge Nature Center, 15890 Paxton Avenue, South Holland, IL;
o Camp Sagawau, 12545 West 111th Street, Lemont, IL; and
o Hal Tyrell Trailside Museum, 738 Thatcher Avenue, River Forest, IL.
The Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center in Willow Springs is currently closed to the public for remodeling and, thus, will not be carrying this year’s calendar.
(3) Visit one of our two Volunteer Resource Centers, including:
o The Southland Volunteer Resource Center, 12474 W. 111th Street, Lemont; and
o The Mathew Bieszczat Volunteer Resource Center, 6100 N. Central Avenue, Chicago.
