To support some of your statements here, ‘Eat to Live’ by Dr. Joel Fuhrman goes into the clinical, scientific studies as to why animal protein, dairy, refined sugars, and salt are horrible for our bodies. Although he doesn’t differentiate between acid and alkaline foods, he does recommend nutrient dense foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, soy, nuts (in small amounts). He discourages processed foods, candy, junk food, animal protein, and dairy products.

are acid causing. acid causing foods include the following food
groups: all animal protein, sugars, coffee, liquor and beer, all fast
foods, most breads, grains, and legumes, most nuts and all dairy
foods.
