We are scanning all our old files, starting with the most recent and

going back as time permits. We have boxes and boxes of old credit

card statements, bank statements, receipts, stuff we need to keep but

I am too disorganized, and honestly don’t have the time, to file

anything. My DH and I scan the stuff, we set up a folder on our hard

drive of “documents” then subfolders like credit cards, student

loans, important docs for the kids etc, a subfolder for each credit

card and then scan and save the documnet. A credit card statemetn

for this month would be called Feb2007 under the Capital One card

file. We are scanning any document that needs to be kept for

finanical reasons, health stuff and kids stuff. I hope to ulitamtely

get rid of thousands and thousands of papers for the shredder. Feel

free to email me if you want more info-
